                                                             Dental Assistant

Duties and responsibilities: The duties of a dental assistant are among the most comprehensive and varied in the dental office. The dental assistant performs many tasks requiring both interpersonal and technical skills.

Salary: $23,550 to $47,580.

Education: It takes a relatively short period of time to become a dental assistant. The majority of academic dental assisting programs take nine to eleven months to complete, some schools offer accelerated training, part-time education programs or training via distance education.          

Reflection: I would like to be a dental assistant. It looks like a cool job and I love going to the dentist.

Dental Lab Technician

Duties and Responsibilities: the art and science of manufacturing corrective devices and replacements for natural teeth. Also works closely with the dentist, who plans the treatment and places the restoration or corrective device in the patient's mouth.

Salary: $37,690 or an hourly wage of $18.12

Education: The minimum education requirements for dental laboratory technicians is a high school diploma or equivalent.

Reflection: I wouldn’t like to be a dental lab technician. This job looks sooo boring. The only reason I would join this career is because you don’t need a lot of education requirements.

Veterans Day

1. 

   Veterans day is a public holiday held on the anniversary of the end of World War I (November 11) to honor US veterans and victims of all wars. It replaced Armistice Day in 1954.

3. People celebrate Veterans day by putting flags outside their houses but the only true and simple way to celebrate this holiday is to just be thankful there are people who have gone and stood for you and your county

Dance/Movement Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities: Dance movement therapists use movement and dance within a therapeutic environment to help individuals of all ages who are experiencing physical, psychological, emotional or mental problems.

Salary:  $40,000 - $50,000 a year, with some earning $60,000 - $80,000 a year or more.

Education: strong dance background in addition to a liberal arts degree. As undergraduates, students can pursue degrees in psychology, dance, recreation therapy and other liberal arts or human services fields.

                                                   

I wouldn’t like to be a dance/movement therapist. It looks like a very fun job but it wouldn’t interest me as a career.
