Dance/Movement Therapist
Duties and Responsibilities: Dance movement therapists use movement and dance within a
therapeutic environment to help individuals of all ages who are experiencing
physical, psychological, emotional or mental problems.
Salary: $40,000 - $50,000 a year, with some earning
$60,000 - $80,000 a year or more.
Education: strong
dance background in addition to a liberal arts degree. As undergraduates,
students can pursue degrees in psychology, dance, recreation therapy and other
liberal arts or human services fields.
I wouldn’t like to be a dance/movement therapist. It looks
like a very fun job but it wouldn’t interest me as a career.
